Just another Sunday spent doing nothing

Not much going on here today. It snow on and off all day so we sat inside and played XBox and watched "Lilo & Stitch". Michelle played on the floor and later watched some of the movie from her bouncy chair. After that she took a nap.
Brian has been looking on like trying to figure out how much telephone, internet access and all of the other utilities are going to cost once we move. We have decided to get our cell phones sent to use here before we leave that way we do have some way to get in touch with everyone and also it will probably be easier to get things set up to once we move in to a house or even while we are house hunting at that.
I haven't done a whole lot of anything today. Just sat here at the computer and played games or looked at everyone's blogs. I read Skyler's blog and checked out her christmas list at amazon and I do have to say that the wagon she wants is really cool. Michelle would probably like one once we get to Texas. Maybe we'll get her one for her birthday and she can take it with her when we go to the zoo.
Other than that bothing else has been going on.

1st snow of the 2005 - 2006 winter

Before we went to bed last Brian and I looked out the window to find that white flaky stuff had fallen to the ground and covered everything. Yes folks we have snow here in Germany. It was around 32*F today but it felt more like 23*F according to Yahoo Weather. We bundled Michelle up and went out long enough to go to the post office and the commissary to do WIC. Other than that Michelle "hung out" in front of the web cam and we sat on the computers. After we had lunch we watched a movie to help pass the time. The weather people call for snow the rest of the weekend. Right now we have less than an inch of snow. Nothing major and I hope it stays that way.

Michelle's 1st Turkey Day!!!

Today is Michelle's first Thanksgiving and she didn't even get to have turkey. Oh well guess it will be next year. She did get to taste mashed potatoes (made from scratch) and some whipped cream off of the no bake pumpkin pie.

The no bake pumpkin pie was really good. Brian had 2 pieces. (I guess that means I'll have to make another one) Besides pie, we had a small turkey breast roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls ,stuffing, corn, macaroni and cheese and Brian had baked beans.

After eating and cleaning up the kitchen Michelle "helped" Brian and I put up the Christmas tree. I do have to say our tree looks really nice and very well decorated.

As you can see Michelle had to check out the tree and see if there was anything under it for her to paly with. We told her that Santa doesnt come until December 24th. Santa also likes milk and cookies. She was also told that in order to get presents from Santa she had to be a good girl.

No Bake Pumpkin Pie

Well, I made my no bake pumpkin pie today. It actually tastes good from what I tasted from the bowl. I made my pie early that way I won't have to be in the kitchen all day Thursday. Surprisingly the pie only took me 15 minutes to make and all it has to do is sit in the frig for 2 hours to set up.

While I was at the commissary getting my stuff to make my pie I bought a tube of Pilsbury Gingerbread cookie dough. The cookies are actually really good. Here is a picture of my handy work.

Happy Thanksgiving

Well its that time of year again. Time for turkey and cranberries and pumpkin pie. Stuff which Michelle of course can not eat until next year.
Brian helped me get the christmas stuff out of the attic yesterday that way we can get started on putting it up this weekend. The tree will probably be put up on Friaday and I'll have to "sit" Michelle in front of the tree so I can take her picture.
As far as Thanksgiving Dinner goes we are having turkey sandwiches with all the trimings. I am also making a no bake pumpkin pie. I found the recipe in Womens Day Magazine. I will let you know how it turns out and if it is any good.
I hope that everyone has a good Thanksgiving.
