Michelle & PT

Michelle went to the doctor on Thursday. She is 32.5 inches tall and is 21lbs 4oz. She is FINALLY over 20lbs. As for her not walking independently, she has to go to West Texas Rehab for an extensive evaluation to make sure she is not "developmentally" challenged. The doctor checked her hips and nothing is wrong with them. Michelle shows no signs of developmental hip dysplasia.
I have to call and make the appointment for Michelle to got to PT for her exam, but am waiting on her letter from Tricare.

We are hoping that all Michelle's problem is her lack of self confidance or as Brian calls it her lazyness. Not too much is going on. We are trying to make room for all of Michelle's new toys in her room, including her table and chair set Grandma (Sally) got her. Pooh Bear is hanging out in the living room on the love seat.

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!!!
It has cooled down into the 40's here so it made for a cool night. Michelle went to about 12 houses then we came home and handed out our candy. We had about 50 kids or so, which wasn't too bad. I still have candy left over. Which we will eat. I went to the BX and bought Michelle a bag of M&M's to use for potty training. Here she is all dressed up tonight.

I hope everyone has a safe trip back home from Lufkin. I'll be posting to the knitting blog later on this week with sock pictures.

One of those....

I haven't desided if it's gunna be one of those weeks or one of those months. It seems like there is something going on just about everyday until after Oct 13th. If I'm not at PT then its something else. Pampered Chef is starting to take off and it's starting to be worth my while. On top of getting my business up and going there is now a Pampered Chef Outlet through my website :) Which is nice cause you can get discontinuted products.

Hopefully the second half of October isnt as crazy as the first half :)

Physical Theraphy

I went to the Doctor yesterday for refill for my Zertec and to have him look at my back. Thing are okay in the allergy department but the back is a whole different story. I was refered to Physical Therepy. They want meto go 3 times a week. Which isnt a huge problem. The problem is when they left the message on Brian's cell phone. They want me to start PT on Tuesday September 5th, but I will not be in town. So I have to call them in the morning to set up PT after we get back from Ohio on hte 15th of September.

On a different note. Michelle is up to 6 teeth or One hand plus one finger hehe. She has been a wee bit cranky but it's to be understood.

Up to 5

Michelle has 5 teeth now :) The fifth one is on the upper left hand side near the back. I noticed her 5th tooth today while "saving" a fuzzy from imantent doom. We did okay today since Brian worked las night. After Brian went to bed at 4pm Michelle had some quiet time before dinner while I got dinner ready for her and I. Tomorrow is payday, which means a commissary run and other fun things.

Busy Week

Boy has it been a week. On Monday I finalized and submitted my show from the weekend at the BX, which was $260 in orders. Then on Tuesday I started a class for Pampered Chef so I can grow my business and build a team. Wednesday, I spent the afternoon on the phone making customer calls and trying to get shows booked. Thursday was a quiet day. Friday the stuff came from Pampered Chef, so I had to make calls to get the orders delivered. Saturday we saw this strange wet stuff fall from the sky.... yes it rained. Today we went to the mall, BX, and commissary. Brian washed the beetle.

One of those Weeks

This week has gone by rather quickly thnks to the holiday. If I'm not busy outside helping Brian with the shed, I'm chasing after or entertaining Michelle while attempting to do laundry or dishes.

Not much else has been going on here except for unpacking andputtingaway things.

3 going on 4

Michelle has began to cut her two front top teeth. The top one on the right has cut through and the left on is making a good attempt. Michelle went to the doctor on June 20th. She is 29 1/4 inches "tall" and 19lbs 4oz. The doctor said she is doing fine for her age. Now that we have some of the furniture put up in place Michelle is starting to walk while holding onto the furniture.

Birthday Cake

Today we had birthday cake for Michelle's 1st birthday with Russell, Amy, Skyler, Great Grandma and Grandpa Walters. Michelle smashed more cake on the table than she ate I'm sure but she had a good time and enjoyed "eating" her cake. Even though Michelle's birthday in not actually until June 16th we desided to have cake at Grandma and Grandpa's while we where visiting them in Lufkin.

It was nice to finally get to meet Amy, Russell, and Skyler. The girls had a fun time playing together with all of Michelle's toys. Pudgy didn't quiet know what to think of Skyler and was a very good doggy today.

One of those days

Okay so I haven't posted here in a while. I have been rather busy with the moving. Monday was just one of those days where anything and everything just seemed to happen. I swear the phone rang 50 times yesterday. If it wasn't the landlady wanting to know about showing our house it was the people buying the van calling. The end of last week wasn't too much better either.

Grandma Walters I am very sorry to hear about your brother Elmer. Brian and I will keep you in out thoughts and prayers. We are how every VERY excited to get to Texas though and visit with everyone once we get the house end of things settle and done with. Also we do have a temporary address in Texas which we will be sending out to everyone here some time soon.

I did how ever spend last weekend sick on the sofa with that nasty flu bug. Talk about feeling like the MAC truck ran you over. I took some Tylenol to keep the headaches down but my stomach was not to happy about anything being in it. Thankfully it went down and out as opposed to up and out. I think Sunday I spent most of the day in the bathroom. Luckily Brain and Michelle didn't end up with any of this. During my day on the sofa Saturday I did drink Gatorade and attempt to eat something.

As for the Easter Bunny coming and visting Michelle, everyone can either wait until later to send stuff or to our temporary address. It is competely up to you what you would like to do. I will metion something tro Brian about the temporary address and have hime send out the email.

Sleep...What's Sleep?

Yes you go it right, I am having trouble sleeping. Anne I think it's contagious really I do. I am beginning to believe that being unable to sleep is something that can be passed on telepathically. Michelle is even having nights where she wakes up at 3 or 4 am.
Since we started cleaning and getting the house ready for the big move I have been having problems with sleeping. For those of you who don't know our moving blog is where we are able to let everyone know about the move and the what is going on with that. I will be ever grateful once I am in Texas and settled back into some kind of a daily routine. All of the packing and cleaning has worn me out and I am having a very hard time getting to sleep.

Last week we worked downstairs in the bedroom going through old cloths and such. Over the weekend we did the laundry and started packing the suit cases. This week it is the upstairs. I have got the kitchen to where I want it. I just have to go through the cabinets and toss stuff I know we can't take back. I'm not overly concerned about the flour, sugar and stuff like that as seeing it's not expensive to replace.

To top it all off I am having one last Pampered Chef Cooking Show before we leave. I can officially point my finger at Brian, considering it was HIS idea. On top of that the person I was supposed to do a show for last weekend is having her show at our house this weekend. Oh well I guess I can kill two birds with one stone as the saying goes. O well life goes on.

Angel Dandruff

Okay so I came up with a new word choice for snow. Oh do we have snow AGAIN! It started snowing last Wednesday and stopped, which was good. Thursday we wake up to snow and it continues to snow. Brian had a 2 hour delay for work. Friday went got up to MORE snow. Brian was again on a 2 hour delay but instead of calling everyone the y sent out emails after most people had went home, Go figure. He ended up being sent home at noon but they didn't get the email until 12:30 or so. Brian got home around 2pm after stopping at the commissary to get diapers for Michelle. Saturday we stayed home because the roads where probably not the greatest. Yesterday we ventured out long enough to go to the BX and the Commissary. The BX wasn't super crowded nor was the commissary. It was very sunny yesterday too which helped melt some of the snow. Thus far today we have sunny weather, but with there is a change for rain and snow later on in the week.

Why me?

Why me? Why do all of the stupid people seem to gravitate towards me? Is there a giant sign on me some where that only stupid people can see? If so I have to wonder what the sign says. Does it say "I love stupid people" or "I'm stupid too"? I've had my fill of stupid people lately.

This all started yesterday with an email from the Pampered Chef. They where nice enough to inform me that they had a declined credit card for the show I submitted on Sunday evening. No big deal. I called them and told them who I was and the lady asked me what I would like to do about the declined credit card. I asked her if I could verify the card number and expiration date. She did that and ran the card again for me, still coming back declined.

After I got off the phone with the Pampered Chef I emailed the customer and nicely asked her to verify her card number for me. She did and I then told her it was declined. Oh was I not supposed to say the card was declined? She emailed me back and was a bit ticked off that her card was declined. Well its not my fault that you can't seem to manage your money now is it? So any way she gave me a new credit card number and I called the Pampered Chef AGAIN. I was on hold for maybe 5 minutes or so which wasn't too bad for being the end of the month. After holding I again told the lady what I need and she asked me how I wanted to handle the problem. I told her I wanted to use a different credit card and gave her the information that she needed. Thankfully on the first try the card went through.

Mind you that this is the second time I have this same problem from the same person. I'm about to the point where I'm going to tell her that she has to pay me by Money Order. That way I don't have to worry about credit cards not going through or any of that other crap.

Busted

Okay so I am a curious individual and I like to know what other in the Pampered Chef business are up to and how the present their shows. There was an ad in the paper this week and a potential recruit and I decided that we wanted to go check out this open house. So she calls and gets directions to the house and stops by and picks me up so we can go. We leave here around 3:30pm or so and we get down to where the open house is supposed to be and we get lost. Thankfully we where only a village off which was really cool.

after we get into the house I'm looking around so see if there is anyone I know. at first I though I was okay and we where in the clear. Wait for it... Then the host /consultant come out of the kitchen. BUSTED!!! The host/consultant is in my cluster and hes seen me several times. Oh did I feel kinda bad. But never fear I did bring home some new things to try out at my next show.

Lazy people are very annoying

I have some to the conclusion that if I want my Pampered Chef business to be a success I have to constantly keep after my hosts. I guess 3 phone calls are not enough for some people. It drives me nuts when people tell me they will host a show and then the don't even try to get people to order. Is it really that hard to pick the phone up and say "Hey I'm hosting a Pampered Chef show, would you like anything?" It's not hard people come on now. I know you all have way more friends and family than I do. Just because your dumb behind doesn't feel like doing it that's fine just tell me NO to start will so you don't end up making me mad.

On a lighter note, Mom(Sally) is hosting a catalog show for me in March. I hope that she has a very good show. Oh! and Brian is also hosting for me too in March. Now isn't that sweet of him? Yes I can get people to host but I hate badgering the family to help me out. I should be able to get other people to host for me that have been to my shows or who have ordered from me in the past. I even spent $72 last August on a website (that I can't really advertise anywhere but in my emails) to try and help my business grow. Sometimes it helps to have the website and other times I think its was a wast of money and of my time.

And while I'm at it I'm supposed to be recruiting people and built a team of my own. That's fine and all but with being over seas I can't run adds in the paper or put up a fl yer. Not to mention to try and do a fund raiser. I guess because I ply by the rules I have to suffer. This is one of the MANY reasons why I can not wait to get back to the states. Grant it I'll be starting all over again but at least I'll be able to advertise off base and get customer who are not affiliated with the military.

Okay I think I'm not so mad anymore. It's mainly the fact that I've been putting forth the effort and have seen nothing come out of it lately. I think that's what really ticks me off so much.

Now there are two

Michelle sprouted her first tooth over the weekend. But after closer inspection we noticed that there are actually two of them. Both of here teeth are on the bottom in the center. Along with getting teeth Michelle has given up her bottle and is drinking from a sippy cup now.

It's About Time

Well we got our orders on Wednesday. Now it's time for the fun to begin. I'm all excited about moving and I'm also ready to get it over with. Looks like I'm going to have to get going on the clean out of clutter and decided what is going in what shipment. Along with all of that we have to get the beetle ready for shipment to the states.

Michelle is has learned to "army" crawl, which is SO cute. Now if we can just get to wander more than a few feet at a time that would be great. Her vocabulary is growing and sometimes it sounds like she says Dada and Mama. I think her personal favorite is RahRAhRah. I haven't the slightest clue as to what it means but she sure does use the phrase. Not much else is going on here. More later on the adventure of moving. hehe

Same Stuff Different Day

Nothing new here. Just the same stuff day in and day out. We are still awiting our orders. I and hopeful the we will have them by the end of the month. But still it could be later than that. As of February 28th it makes 2 months until we leave. I still can not get over the fact that we have been her in Germany for the last 3 years. Time sure does move quickly, expecially when you are busy.

I will be so glad to get back to the states and to some warmer more normal weather. It can be snow and 0*F one day and the next it can be windy and reainy with the tempurature up to 32*F. I will also be glad to be able to shop at stores other than the BX and not pay an arm and leg after the exchange rate. I am also very tired of Taco Bell and Burger King. A Wendy's and Arby's will be aw very nice change. Along with a good steak house. hehe

Michelle has been keeping me very busy. She is begining to crawl and has desided to explore and check out anything and everything she can pick up. Mitch even has a new "word" in her vocabulary. It's "rah" and is usually spoken in a group of 3 or 4. hehe

New Camera

We got our new camera in the mail on Tuesday. It is a digital Nikon D50 with a 28-80mm lens. The camera has SO many more functions than our old Kodak point and shot. With the new one you can change the lenses, select what mode you want to use or just put it on auto for everything.
